For many out there, this is arguably one of if not the most iconic and greatest piece of sci-fi that has ever been made, and now, some 45+ years after its birth, it has come to the online screen – live long and prosper the Star Trek Slot franchise.
From its birth of William Shatner playing Captain James T. Kirk and Leonard Nimoy as Mr Spock, to the Hollywood screens from ‘Enterprise’ to ‘Into Darkness’ and all the way to the most recent Chris Pine version (which has a sequel being released in 2013), Star Trek has brought the science fiction world to its’ knees and the slots have done no different.
The two main players in the industry are the original Star Trek with four bonus rounds and huge wins available, and the follow-up Star Trek Slot: Against All Odds, which features a mega 720 ways to win, not to mention its’ own bonus round and stackable wild symbol combinations.
WMS has done a great job in making Friends into a TV slots game, as it is set against the New York City skyline and features all sorts of symbols depicting items from the show like Phoebe’s gu96%. Itar and Chandler’s duck. Photos of the characters are also symbols, showing iconic scenes from the show. In April, there were still 2 Star Trek slots machines (3 seats per machine) at both the Palazzo and the Venetian. In both cases, they weren't next to each other. In April, there were still Star Wars slot machines. Star Trek is a fascinating online video slot. Game developer Williams hereby establishes a link to the popular sci-fi film of the same name. Meet the main characters playing in this film include Kirk, Spock, Scotty and Uhura. Play Star Trek with a beautiful background and fantastic graphics. Star Trek is a game with five reels and 30 winning lines.
This 30 line, 5 reel slot machine boasts all your favourite characters from the recent Hollywood movies and offers crisp, quality graphics combined with great pay outs. Aside from Wild symbols and Scatters, the game is made better with a huge £300 total bet allowance and a maximum £30,000 awarded for 5 Captain Kirk symbols in a row.
There are four bonuses all triggered by getting the standard bonus symbols on Reels 2 and 3 followed by a character bonus symbol on Reel 4.
· Captain Kirk Bonus: 3 to 6 win spins at 3x multiplier, up to a maximum of 250 free spins
· Spock’s Bonus: 15 free spins at a 2x multiplier
· Uhura’s Bonus: 6 to 12 free spins with extra Wild Uhura symbols scattered
· Scotty’s Bonus: 5 free spins with 2 to 5x multiplier and then 5 free spins with 4 to 10x multiplier.
Note that at 10x multiplier … the 5 Captain symbols could theoretically pay up to £300,000 per winning line combination!
Also based on the 2009 Star Trek movie sensation and featuring all the well-known Hollywood actors like Simon Pegg as Scotty and Chris Pine as Captain Kirk, the new re-vamped slot machine brings a completely new touch of class to the online slots world.
With a whopping 720 different ways to win thanks to its’ left to right and right to left winning combination style, this really is out of this world.
The first advantage is that should you get 5 scatters in a row on the reels, you can win up to 100x your total bet – that’s up to £30,000! The next is that, at random, Energizing Wilds may appear and turn between 2 and 5 symbols on the middle 3 reels to wild symbols. With the highest symbol paying 1,000x and your max line bet being £5 – you could stand to win a serious amount of money should your wilds span all three of the middle reels. The final is that Wilds can be stackable, meaning your win potential is huge on each and every spin.
There are two bonus options available on the new Star Trek Slot, both leading to the same eventual outcome … one where you play a shoot-em style game as you take out aliens in a bid to win the position of Captain for the bonus round, the other where the slot decides for you and selects one of three ranks for you – Captain, Commander or Lieutenant. Both are triggered by 5 Enterprise symbols and each lead you through to a spinning wheel with prizes scattered around it.
· Win the lieutenant rank through either path and win up to 6,500x on the spinning wheel
· Obtain the commander rank and win up to 15,000x on the bonus round
· Finally, be lucky enough to reach captaincy and win up to 22,500x on the bonus wheel
Do note however that the maximum payout is capped at £250,000 so feel free to lower your bets when it comes to the bonus round as you can still hit the max without reaching your £300 upper limit!
Whether you choose the original or the new Star Trek Slot Machine, we are sure you will have a great time and have even selected some of our favourite places to play it above for you. Each one has its’ own great bonus and deposit offer so feel free to pick your favourite one or even a couple if you like … and until we see you again – live long and prosper (on the slot)!

There are a lot of Star Trek slots online. Two of them, including the one reviewed here, are from IGT. There are more from WMS. This slot features the new Star Trek crew, which might upset the purists. It is a great looking slot with 4 different bonus rounds, there is the potential or big pay-outs as well as a lot of entertainment value.
Symbols appear to float above a deep space background in this game. Most of these are characters from the movie, including Spock, James Kirk, Scotty and Uhuru. You’ll also have a wild logo and stylized playing cards – the bonus symbols contain a Klingon warship. As you might expect there are plenty of space noises involved in this game. These include whooshes and buzzes. When you hit a good sized win, or a bonus round, you’ll be greeted with stirring classical music from the movie theme tune. This is a very well put together game.
Bonus rounds are all clever variants of free spins. Having 4 of them does keep your engaged in the slot. The background changes colour and wilds or multipliers behave differently in each bonus – these are based on the main characters.
Behind all the deep space images and noises is a standard 5 reel, 3 row, 30 pay line video slot. The lines are fixed in this game, though you can decide on your spin amount per line from 1c and up. There is the standard IGT auto-spin option available.Kirk is the biggest paying symbol, with 1000 coins for 5 of a kind and 300 coins for 4 of a kind. The other characters follow with Spock next (750 for 5), Uhuru (400) and Scotty (300). The playing cards ace down to 10 make up the winning symbols.
There is a wild (need I add that this substitutes for everything except the bonus symbol?) which appears on reels 2 through 5. This can help create a lot of winning combinations – especially when you choose to play the full 30 lines.
The final symbol is the bonus, there are two types. On reels 2 and 3 the bonus symbols have the Klingon warship. On reel 4 the bonus symbol comes with the face of one of the characters – and will trigger their bonus. You can see which bonus is next from the writing above the reels.
Varied bonus features are a great reason to play a slot; especially as so many have just a single bonus round. Here you can play 4 bonuses, each named after one of the characters. These are all variations of free spin rounds, though they are different enough to keep the game fresh. Each makes the reels turn a different colour. Which one you get depends on whose face you land in the 4th reel.Captain Kirk Bonus: You’ll get win-spins instead of free spins. What happens is that you keep spinning until you win, at which point the number of spins remaining goes down by 1. You’ll start with between 3 and 6 spins. There is some variation in the symbols, with a special Kirk / Spock which substitutes for either of these characters on reels 2 through 5. This bonus can be retriggered.
Spock Bonus: This is a more normal free spins round. You’ll get between 10 and 15 spins. Spock symbols go wild for these, and Kirk pays double.
Uhuru Bonus: Another variation on the free spins, this time you get between 6 and 12 spins – Uhuru becomes a scatter, paying for between 1 and 8 on the screen.
Scotty Bonus: This is free spins with multipliers, which go up at the half way point. You’ll get 10 free spins at between 2x and 5x. After the first 5 spins the multipliers double – with the max at 10x your win.
I like the new Star Trek crew, and also found this slot very enjoyable. The bonus rounds in particular make it stand out from the crowd. Standard game play got a little repetitive after a while, and I often though that the rousing music was overkill for 3x wins. This is a minor gripe really; overall the slot has a great balance between playable regular gaming and the various character-themed bonuses.I’d recommend this slot, whichever generation of Star Trek characters is your personal favourite.
